ScreenConnect

ScreenConnect (ConnectWise Control) puts remote access one click from the ticket, so you connect to the right machine without hunting through a separate console.

What it does

  • In-context sessions. A ScreenConnect panel on the ticket and organisation pages lists that client’s machines.

  • One-click connect. Launch an access session straight from the panel via a deep link:

    screenconnect://{host}/?action=Connect&sessionid={id}&sessiontype=Access

The gotcha it handles

Opentra queries live session data directly and then filters to the org you’re looking at — ScreenConnect’s API returns every session when a company name doesn’t match exactly, so without that filter you’d see the whole estate. Opentra scopes it to the client on screen.

Setup

Section titled “Setup”
  1. In Settings → Integrations, open the ScreenConnect card.
  2. Enter your ScreenConnect host URL and credentials.
  3. Sessions for a client appear on their organisation and tickets.
