Xero

Xero is Opentra’s accounting integration. Invoicing flows one way — Opentra prepares invoices, Xero stays the final human gate.

What it does

• Billing runs push finalised invoices to Xero as drafts.
• Project milestones and fixed-price work invoice to Xero too.
• Managed-service vs one-off work map to different Xero account codes, set per contract.

The gotcha it handles

Opentra honours per-org rate overrides and rounding rules, so the pushed invoice matches the timer — to the cent. No silent drift between what you tracked and what the client sees.

Setup

1. In Settings → Integrations, connect Xero via OAuth.
2. Map your managed-service and one-off account codes.
3. Finalise a billing run — invoices appear in Xero as drafts for review.

Note

Invoices always land in Xero as drafts. Nothing is sent to a client until you approve it in Xero.
